Troy took a 15-run loss the last time they faced off against Stoney Creek, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Colts won by a run and slipped past the Cougars 2-1. For the Colts, this counts as revenge for the 16-1 win the Cougars walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2018.

Troy pushed their record up to 17-8 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Stoney Creek, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Troy will square off against Kettering at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Stoney Creek, they will challenge Detroit Country Day at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
