Highland Rim Academy lost against the Christian Community Colts two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Highland Rim Academy fell just short of Christian Community by a score of 52-50. Highland Rim Academy has not had much luck with Christian Community recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Christian Community to victory, but perhaps none more so than A.C. Caverly, who scored 14 points along with three blocks. It was the first time this season that Caverly posted two or more blocks. Another player making a difference was Autumn Ray, who scored nine points along with five assists and three steals.
Highland Rim Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season. As for Christian Community, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 18-9.
Highland Rim Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Christian Community, they will be playing at home against Clarksville Christian at 10:30 p.m. on Saturday. Christian Community is on a three-game streak of home wins, Clarksville Christian a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
