The Caddo Bruins waltzed into their match Thursday with six straight wins but they left with seven. They walked away with a 47-36 win over Wright City. The win was all the more spectacular given Caddo's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 78th, while Wright City is ranked 17th).
Wright City lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Grace Vance, who scored nine points along with five rebounds. Vance continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kinsley Scrivner, who scored four points along with five rebounds.
Caddo's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-2. As for Wright City, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 14-2.
Caddo will head out on the road to face off against Colbert at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Wright City, they will be playing at home against Fort Towson at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
