Trinity has gone a perfect 3-0 against Annville-Cleona recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Shamrocks will head out to face off against the Dutchmen at 7:00 p.m. Trinity's defense has only allowed 11.5 points per game this season, so Annville-Cleona's offense will have their work cut out for them.
Trinity barely beat Schuylkill Valley the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Shamrocks blew past the Panthers 35-7 on Friday. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 21-0.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Trinity to victory, but perhaps none more so than Maddox Jarzynski, who picked up 116 receiving yards and three scores. Jarzynski was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 66 yards. Another passer making a difference was Mason Boyer, who threw for 200 yards and three touchdowns on only 16 passes.
Trinity didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Adonis Sutton and Mason Noecker. Trinity received some extra help from Jarzynski, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
Meanwhile, Annville-Cleona unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak last Friday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (14-7), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. The game was a 7-7 toss-up at halftime, but they couldn't quite close it out.
Trinity's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 9.8 points on average over those games. As for Annville-Cleona, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 8-2.
Everything came up roses for Trinity against Annville-Cleona when the teams last played back in November of 2022, as the squad secured a 58-27 victory. In that matchup, the Shamrocks amassed a halftime lead of 31-7, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
