The Lakewood Ranch Preparatory Academy Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the Admiral Farragut BlueJackets at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Lakewood Ranch Preparatory Academy was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Tournament Opponent on Saturday. The Eagles never let Tournament Opponent get on the board and left with a 14-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won three games by eight runs or more so far this season.
Ryan O'Leary made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. O'Leary was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

Cordani has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played. Vincent Hernandez also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.
Meanwhile, Admiral Farragut came into Monday's contest having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They put the hurt on Sarasota Military Academy with a sharp 13-2 win on Monday. With that victory, the BlueJackets brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.
Like Lakewood Ranch Preparatory Academy, Admiral Farragut also got a great game from a two-way player: Ashton Davis. On the mound, Davis didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Meanwhile, Jeffrey Crain tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the most strikeouts Davis has posted since back in February. At bat, Davis scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3, while Crain scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Admiral Farragut got a massive performance out of Elliot Heinicka, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Heinicka has become a key player for the BlueJackets: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 2-9 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Athan Davis, who scored four runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-3.
Admiral Farragut was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .483. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Lakewood Ranch Preparatory Academy's record now sits at 6-4. As for Admiral Farragut, their record is now 5-10.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Lakewood Ranch Preparatory Academy has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 10.7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Admiral Farragut struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.1 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
