  Maci Caraway was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  struck out seven batters over  five innings while giving up  four earned runs off   seven  hits (and not a single walk). Caraway was even better at the plate,  going 3-for-3 with a  home run, four  RBI,  and two  runs.
 In other batting news, Elverado let  Auna McClure and  Bridgett Elder loose on the outfield. McClure  scored two  runs while going 3-for-4, while  Elder  scored two  runs while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Ellie Yates, who  went 1-for-4 with a  home run.
 Dongola now  has a losing record at 1-2. As for Elverado, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record  this season.
