Baseball Recap: Freedom Has No Trouble Against Hibriten

Freedom hadn't done well against Hibriten recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Patriots blew past the Panthers 11-2. Considering the Patriots have won eight contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Freedom got a massive performance out of JONAH GRIGGS, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles. GRIGGS has become a key player for the Patriots: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 4-14 otherwise. KADEN MICHAELS was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run.

The victory made it two in a row for Freedom and bumps their season record up to 9-14. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 runs in those games. As for Hibriten, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-10 record this season.

Freedom will square off against South Caldwell at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Spartans will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the Patriots surely won't give up without a fight. Hibriten does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
