Softball Game Preview: Tri-West Hendricks Bruins vs. Crawfordsville Athenians

For the second straight game, Tri-West Hendricks will face off against Crawfordsville. The Bruins will face off against the Athenians at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Someone's luck will take a turn for the better: Tri-West Hendricks has lost three straight at home , while Crawfordsville has lost four on the road (dating back to last season).

Tri-West Hendricks is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 22-2 margin over Crawfordsville on Tuesday. With that win, the Bruins brought their scoring average up to 7.4 runs per game.

Adelyn Lengerich made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, Emma Charles and Peyton Norman did most of the damage at the plate: Charles went 2-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs, while Norman went a perfect 5-for-5 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Those six RBI gave Charles a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Addy Brower, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

Tri-West Hendricks always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .564. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Tri-West Hendricks' victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Crawfordsville, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.
