The Wamogo Regional Warriors were the 69-61 winner over the Shepaug Valley Spartans when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Wamogo Regional was the victim of a tough 68-45 loss at the hands of Shepaug Valley on Friday. Wamogo Regional has been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.
Despite the loss, Wamogo Regional still got an impressive performance from Anthony Turtoro, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tom Smart, who scored eight points.
Wamogo Regional's loss dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Shepaug Valley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.
Wamogo Regional will head out on the road to challenge Thomaston at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Shepaug Valley, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 68-45 win vs. Wamogo on the 9th.
