Eric Kjar has been named head coach at Weber State after winning six state titles at
Corner Canyon (Draper, Utah) since taking the job in 2017, including the past three.
After compiling a record of 112-10 at Corner Canyon, Kjar will take over a Weber State program coming off back-to-back 4-8 seasons. The FCS school is about 50 miles north of Draper.
Kjar will reunite with his son
Noah Kjar, a wide receiver who just wrapped up his second season at Weber State. Noah has played in 14 career games with 19 catches for 248 yards and a touchdown. Including Noah, five former Corner Canyon players were on the program's 2025 roster.

Zach Wilson and Dart, Kjar's last seven Corner Canyon teams have gone to the state championship game. From 2018-20, Corner Canyon went 40-0.
Before Corner Canyon, Kjar coached at
Jordan (Sandy, Utah) from 2009-16, where he won 69 total games and a state title in 2012.
Kjar has a career record of 181-39 with seven state championships.
After playing quarterback at
Kemmerer (Wyo.), Kjar played collegiately at Wayne State in Nebraska before becoming an assistant at Jordan in 2004. In 2009 he was named the head coach at Jordan and never had a losing season.
Kjar won 10 games for the first time in 2011 during his third season at Jordan. Ten wins is a mark he hit 11 times in his career, including all nine years at Corner Canyon.
