After only one run in their last matchup, Maynard made sure to put some runs up on the board against Bromfield on Wednesday. The Tigers put the hurt on the Trojans with a sharp 15-3 victory. Ryleigh Raschi made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in May of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That triple was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Maynard got a massive performance out of Abigail Karlon, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those four runs gave Karlon a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Calleigh Currier, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Maynard's win bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Bromfield, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-9.
Looking ahead, Maynard will host Assabet Valley RVT at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Bromfield, they will head out to square off against St. Bernard's Central Catholic at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
