The Forest Hill Patriots''s game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. Everything went their way against Jim Hill as Forest Hill made off with a 42-16 victory. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Forest Hill's zero-point performance the contest before.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Forest Hill to victory, but perhaps none more so than ZALYAN THOMPSON, who rushed for 180 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries. Forest Hill also got help from DROME CAVITT who showed off his sure hands for 102 receiving yards.
Despite the loss, Jim Hill still got an impressive performance from Adam Tolliver, who rushed for 74 yards and two touchdowns.
Forest Hill's win was their fourth straight on the road , which pushed their record up to 5-6. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-9 Pearl River Central and 1-9 Wingfield (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 13.9% over those games). As for Jim Hill, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Forest Hill will take on Terry at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Jim Hill, they will head out on the road to face off against Murrah at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Murrah presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Jim Hill in Mississippi (Murrah is ranked 86th, while Jim Hill is ranked 222nd).
