Dawson won the last time they faced Kingwood and things went their way on Thursday too. The Eagles came out on top against the Mustangs by a score of 2-0.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Dawson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Taylor Ranney, who had three digs and three aces. That's the most aces Ranney has posted over her last seven games. Celine Espejo also deserves some recognition as she had her first dig of the season.

When it comes to explaining why Kingwood lost, don't look at Maggie Pugh. Despite the final result, she had six digs and three aces.
