The Miami Valley Christian Academy Lions will venture away from home to face off against the Clermont Northeastern Rockets at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Miami Valley Christian Academy is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.
On Tuesday, Miami Valley Christian Academy got the win against Varsity Opponent by a conclusive 3-0.
Miami Valley Christian Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Charlotte Strouble, who had five digs and four aces. What's more, Strouble posted three assists, the most she's had since back in August.
Strouble wasn't the only good server: Miami Valley Christian Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 19 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces every time they've taken the court this season.
Meanwhile, Clermont Northeastern didn't have quite enough to beat East Clinton on Tuesday and fell 3-2. The loss continues a trend for the Rockets in their meetings with the Astros: they've now lost four in a row.
Clermont Northeastern actually scored more points across those five sets (102-90), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-21, 25-22, 6-25, 15-9.
Miami Valley Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Clermont Northeastern, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.
