The Kern Valley Broncs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They managed a 61-55 win over Desert. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Kern Valley's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was ED Bunting, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds. Those ten points set a new season-high mark for him. Joey Galvan was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
The victory makes it two in a row for Kern Valley and bumps their season record up to 5-6. As for Desert, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Kern Valley will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Summit Charter Collegiate Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 9, 2024. Desert will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on North at 10:30 a.m. on January 6, 2024.
