Oak Harbor has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against The Highland Fighting Scots at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Oak Harbor put the finishing touches on their tenth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They claimed a resounding 49-20 victory over Otsego at home. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-8.
Meanwhile, Highland's game on Friday was all tied up 7-7 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They secured a 21-17 W over Liberty-Benton.
Dane Nauman had a dynamite game for Highland, rushing for 158 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.5 yards per carry, and also picking up 88 receiving yards and a touchdown. Nauman's longest reception was for an incredible 82 yards.
Oak Harbor's win was their 13th straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 11-0. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 32.23 points. As for Highland, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
