Hanover faced Plymouth in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Bears skirted past the Bobcats 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bears have posted since May 17, 2024.

Hanover's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Alex Boone, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Hanover hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Plymouth struck out ten times.

Hanover is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Plymouth, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4.
