Even though the Belton Pirates scored an imposing 56 points on Saturday, the Glendale Falcons still came out on top. Glendale walked away with a 69-56 win over Belton. The win made it back-to-back wins for Glendale.
When it comes to explaining why Belton lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kordell Williams. Despite the final result, he scored 18 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals. Williams scored a full 32.1% of Belton's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Malik Minton was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Glendale now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Belton, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Glendale will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Southside at 4:30 p.m. on December 14th. As for Belton, they will be playing at home against Staley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
