Temple City has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Blair Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Temple City suffered their biggest defeat since December 15, 2023 on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 87-59 loss at the hands of La Canada. While losing is never fun, Temple City can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 801st, while La Canada is ranked 217th).
Despite the loss, Temple City had strong showings from Justin Chung, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and two steals, and Brayden Kwan, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Chung has scored all season. Elkan Lai was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Meanwhile, Blair scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They blew past Sherman Oaks CES, posting a 107-78 victory on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Blair has posted since December 15, 2023.
Temple City has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season. As for Blair, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-9.
Temple City was dealt a bruising 103-68 defeat at the hands of Blair in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Temple City was down 52-29.
