The Goshen Warriors will square off against the Fairland Dragons at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Goshen entered their tilt with Madeira with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Goshen strolled past Madeira with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 56-42. Given Goshen's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 122nd, while Madeira is ranked 384th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Fairland put the finishing touches on their 11th blowout victory of the season on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Rock Hill 72-29 at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Fairland has posted since December 14, 2023.
Fairland relied on the efforts of Kamryn Barnitz, who scored 16 points along with four steals, and Bree Allen, who scored 18 points along with nine rebounds and four blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Barnitz has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Bailey Russell, who scored 15 points.
Goshen is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. As for Fairland, they pushed their record up to 14-1 with that victory, which was their 15th straight at home.
