There's no place like home for the Flomaton Hurricanes, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 55-47 victory over Northview on Monday. Given Flomaton's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 341st in Alabama, while Northview is ranked 741st in Florida), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Northview's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was JACOB SPENCE, who scored 18 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points SPENCE has scored all season. Another player making a difference was AUSTIN DONSFORD, who scored 17 points.
Flomaton's win bumped their record up to 5-12. As for Northview, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.
