Having just played yesterday, the Mountain Ridge Mountain Lions will jump right back in to play the Williams Field Black Hawks at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mountain Ridge has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Even though Cortez scored an imposing 66 points on Wednesday, Mountain Ridge still came out on top. Mountain Ridge snuck past Cortez with a 71-66 win.
Andy Saeva was his usual excellent self, scoring 19 points along with five rebounds. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaiden Thompson, who scored 15 points along with five assists.
Meanwhile, Williams Field's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They fell just short of Moon Valley by a score of 56-53.
Mountain Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Williams Field, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season.
