The Farragut Admirals's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their sixth straight defeat. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 81-80 to William Blount. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Farragut in their matchups with William Blount: they've now lost four in a row.
Caden Windle continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for William Blount, shooting 6-for-9 from long range and dropping a double-double on 37 points and 14 rebounds. Windle is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Grady Robertson, who scored ten points.
Farragut dropped their record down to 7-18 with that loss, which was their sixth straight at home. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.7 points per game. As for William Blount, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 18-8.
Farragut will challenge Hardin Valley Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for William Blount, they and West will face off at 7:30 p.m. on February 5th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. William Blount knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully West likes a good challenge.
