Triton is a perfect 7-0 against E.E. Smith since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Triton Hawks will welcome the E.E. Smith Golden Bulls at 7:00 p.m. The last five games Triton has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Friday, Triton didn't have quite enough to beat Overhills and fell 3-2. The game marked the Hawks' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Chase Sewell made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one double. Ashton Dawson also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Meanwhile, E.E. Smith was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Terry Sanford, falling 12-0.

Triton has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only one runs. E.E. Smith's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Triton was able to grind out a solid victory over E.E. Smith in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, winning 6-2. Does Triton have another victory up their sleeve, or will E.E. Smith turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
