Nederland's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gavin Dillon, who scored ten points. Another player making a difference was Rick Fortunato, who scored five points.
Nederland's defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Non Varsity Opponent, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 121-223-1 record this season.
Nederland will be playing at home against the Hawks at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Vanguard Classical East comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Non Varsity Opponent, they will head out on the road to take on the Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
