The Wapahani Raiders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 25 points or more this season. They ended the year with a bang, routing Blue River Valley 66-41. The victory was just business as usual for Wapahani, who after ten games remain undefeated this season.
It was another big night for Isaac Andrews, who went 6 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 31 points and 5 assists. The match was his tenth in a row with at least ten points. Nate Luce was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Wapahani's win bumped their record up to 10-0. As for Blue River Valley, they have fallen quite a ways from their 20-7 record last season and are now at 2-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wapahani will take on Eastern Hancock at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Eastern Hancock will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 203rd, while Wapahani is ranked ninth). Blue River Valley will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Union at 7:30 p.m. on January 9, 2024.
