If the Floral Park Memorial Knights were riding high off their 51-31 takedown of the Summit Academy Eagles last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Floral Park Memorial took a 49-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Kings Park on Saturday.
Gianna Zawol continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Kings Park, scoring 19 points along with eight steals. Those 19 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Ryan Currier, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds and four blocks.
Floral Park Memorial's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Kings Park, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Floral Park Memorial will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Holy Trinity at 5:00 p.m. on January 17, 2024. Kings Park will be home for the holidays to greet East Islip at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
