Viera got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Lauren Bell out in front who scored 13 points along with 6 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Bell has scored at least 25% of Viera's points. Another player making a difference was Phantasia Lauriston, who scored 13 points.
When it comes to explaining why Vero Beach lost, one person who can't be blamed is Aubriona AJ Felder. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 13 points and 10 rebounds. Ekklesia Anderson was another key contributor, scoring 10 points along with 3 steals.
Viera's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Vero Beach, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.
Viera will stay at home for another game and welcome Edgewood at 7:00 p.m. on December 11th. Hopefully Edgewood focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Friday. As for Vero Beach, they will head out on the road to face off against Centennial at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
