Lena Myhren made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Chloe Coppo, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Jaysa Wilks, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Hancock ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They skirted past Kingsford 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bulldogs have posted since May 6, 2024.
Calumet pushed their record up to 5-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Hancock, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
