 Shadow Mountain  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .657. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cortez only posted  an  OBP of  .435.
The  win  got Shadow Mountain back to even at 2-2-1. As for Cortez, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shadow Mountain is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season: they will  take on  Agua Fria  at 3:45  p.m.  on Thursday. Someone's luck will take a turn for the better: Agua Fria has lost four straight at home , while Shadow Mountain has lost eight on the road (dating back to last season). As for Cortez, they will venture away from home to  square off against Goldwater  at 3:45  p.m.  on Thursday. Cortez has given up an average of 14.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
