Lyndhurst's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Asya Akar led the charge by scoring 11 points along with five rebounds and five steals. The matchup was Akar's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Mayer, who scored 11 points along with five steals.
Meanwhile, Secaucus didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Rutherford on Tuesday, but they still walked away with a 46-42 win.
Lyndhurst now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Secaucus, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.
Lyndhurst was taken down by Secaucus 65-25 in their previous matchup back in January. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Lyndhurst was down 46-12.
