 On Gateway Christian's side,  Cohen Bolin made a splash while hitting and pitching. He  struck out nine batters over  five innings while giving up just two earned  (and one unearned) runs off   two  hits. Bolin has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in three consecutive pitching appearances. Bolin was also big at the plate,  scoring three  runs and  stealing three bases while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances.
 In other batting news, Gateway Christian got a  massive  performance out of  Ethaniel Wigley, who  scored five  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-5. Wigley is on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as he's  now  stolen  at least one in the last four games he's  played.  Samuel Waide was another key contributor,  scoring four  runs and  stealing three bases while  getting on base  in all five of his plate appearances.
 Floyd's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Gateway Christian, the  win was  the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-5.
 Floyd will be playing at home against Dora at 2:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Gateway Christian, they will head out on the road to  face off against  Elida at 12:00  p.m.  on Friday.
