Calabrese has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Melissa Duman, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds.
Torrington's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.5 points per game. As for Naugatuck, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-9.
Torrington will head out on the road to square off against Seymour at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Connecticut (Seymour is ranked 56th, while Torrington is ranked 62nd). As for Naugatuck, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Oxford at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th.
