Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Liberty Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They strolled past Tabernacle Christian with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 57-41. Given the Patriots' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 226th, while the Conquerors are ranked 587th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Greenville Christian Academy better focus on containing Jakeem Bradford and Ian Sterrett as the pair were huge in Liberty Christian's win. Bradford had 26 points along with eight steals and five assists, while Sterrett put up 18 points and six steals. Sterrett's afternoon made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Khai James was another key player, putting up four points in addition to six boards and four steals.
Greenville Christian Academy's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-11. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points over those games. Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Greenville Christian Academy has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 25.8 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Liberty Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 34.5 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
