In what's become a running theme this season, the Fisher Catholic Irish gave their fans yet another huge win on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Miller 82-6 on the road. Fisher Catholic's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Fisher Catholic's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Voni Bethel led the charge by going 8 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 26 points and 4 assists. Bethel has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times she's played. Jayda Dixon was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with five steals.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Miller struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Fisher Catholic racked up 23 assists.
Fisher Catholic pushed their record up to 13-2 with that win, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 37.9 points. As for Miller, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-14.
Fisher Catholic will be playing at home against the Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Fairfield Christian Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 558th, while the Irish are ranked 183rd). As for Miller, they will head out on the road to face off against the Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Wellington School's defense has only allowed 26.7 points per game this season, so the Falcons' offense will have their work cut out for them.
