Augusta Eagles pushed their score all the way to 72 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 81-72 hit to the loss column at the hands of Coastal HomeSchool. Despite running the score up even higher than they did last Monday (60), Augusta Eagles still had to take the loss.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Coastal HomeSchool to victory, but perhaps none more so than Eli Jenkins, who scored 20 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals. Another player making a difference was Kyrin Couvson, who scored 24 points along with 5 rebounds.
Augusta Eagles now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Coastal HomeSchool, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.
Augusta Eagles will head out on the road to face off against Mead Hall Episcopal School at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mead Hall Episcopal School comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Coastal HomeSchool, they will be playing at home against Heritage Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
