Bryson Clay posted a new career-high in runs on Monday. As a matter of fact, he produced his best game of the campaign: he went 4-for-5 with five runs, five RBI, and one double. He has become a key player for Washburn: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 4-6-1 otherwise.

Clay's strong effort led Washburn over Cosby and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pirates are 9-1 against the Eagles going back to April of 2019, a lead they'll look to extend.
