They came out on top against Coachella Valley by a score of 60-51. For Desert Hot Springs, this counts as revenge for the 62-35 defeat Coachella Valley walked away with the last time they faced one another on January 3rd.
Despite the loss, Coachella Valley still got an impressive performance from Israel Garcia, who scored 16 points. Garcia is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Mark Alexander Gonzalez Lomeli, who scored nine points.
Desert Hot Springs' victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-11. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.7 points per game. As for Coachella Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-18.
Desert Hot Springs will head out on the road to square off against Indio at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Indio's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last seven games. As for Coachella Valley, they will be playing at home against Banning at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Banning is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.
