The Jackson-Reed Tigers will be playing at home against the Woodson Warriors at 5:30 p.m. Hopefully Jackson-Reed focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 on Wednesday.
In what's become a running theme this season, Jackson-Reed gave their fans yet another huge win on Wednesday. They breezed by Anacostia on the road to the tune of 65-30.
Kryslynn Stewart continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 17 points along with six steals and five assists. She hasn't dropped below two steals for 12 straight games. Lucia Nawer was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Meanwhile, sadly, Woodson is still looking for their first win of the season after nine matches. They suffered a rough 52-30 loss at the hands of McKinley Tech on Wednesday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Woodson in their matchups with McKinley Tech: they've now lost six in a row.
Jackson-Reed is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. As for Woodson, their defeat was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-9.
Everything came up roses for Jackson-Reed against Woodson when the teams last played back in January of 2023 as the squad secured a 63-23 victory. Will Jackson-Reed repeat their success, or does Woodson have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
