D.H. Conley has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Northern Nash Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. D.H. Conley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 349th, while Northern Nash is ranked 167th).
D.H. Conley's game on Tuesday was all tied up 22-22 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell 45-38 to South Central.
Meanwhile, Northern Nash entered their tilt with Rocky Mount with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Northern Nash came out on top against Rocky Mount by a score of 78-68 on Tuesday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Izeal Mallory II was his usual excellent self, scoring 30 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was CJ Rosser, who shot 4-for-7 from deep and dropped a double-double on 22 points and 12 rebounds.
D.H. Conley has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Northern Nash, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.
D.H. Conley ended up a good deal behind Northern Nash in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, losing 68-52. Can D.H. Conley avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
