On Friday, Mountain Empire are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Hoover at Hoover HS at 3:30 PM. If the 9-8 final from the last time they met is any indication, this game will be decided by the defense.
Mountain Empire couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost to San Ysidro by a decisive 13-32 margin.
Meanwhile, Hoover had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They were completely outmatched, falling 6-47 to Orange Glen.
