While losing is never fun, Cumberland Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1333rd, while Mabank is ranked 539th).
Bishop Gorman has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 20 points or more this season. They blew past Cross Roads, posting a 63-27 victory at home.
Bishop Gorman got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Evan Thibodeaux out in front who scored ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Joseph Richbourg, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds.
Cumberland Academy's loss was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 3-10. As for Bishop Gorman, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season.
