After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Nunamiut, Tikigaq was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Meade River Eagles. The Harpooners haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Tikigaq got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-23, 18-25, 25-17.

The win got Tikigaq back to even at 4-4. As for Meade River, their loss ended a five-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-12.

Tikigaq wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Nunamiut on the 21st. Hopefully Meade River paid attention to the Harpooners' matchup: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Harpooners at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
