The Northeast Guilford Rams had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against NCSSM: Durham by a score of 51-38 on Wednesday. The win was just what Northeast Guilford needed coming off of a 86-57 loss in their prior matchup.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Northeast Guilford to victory, but perhaps none more so than Aaryn Tate, who scored 11 points along with six assists and four steals. Jackson Hester was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with four steals.
Despite the loss, NCSSM: Durham still got an impressive performance from Ethann Burkett, who scored 14 points along with five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Wilkins, who scored seven points along with two steals.
Northeast Guilford's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for NCSSM: Durham, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.
Northeast Guilford will look to defend their home court on Friday against Rockingham County at 8:00 p.m. Rockingham County is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses. As for NCSSM: Durham, they will head out on the road to take on Falls Lake at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in North Carolina (Falls Lake is ranked 564th, while NCSSM: Durham is ranked 548th).
