The Upper Dauphin Area Trojans will head out on the road to square off against the Susquenita Blackhawks at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Susquenita will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Upper Dauphin Area extended their winning streak to three on Friday. The Trojans walked away with a 10-6 win over Juniata.

Colt Bellis and Hunter Grassmyer made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Bellis tossed 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off six hits. Meanwhile, Grassmyer pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. At bat, Bellis went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI, while Grassmyer got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave Grassmyer a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Tyler Minier, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Erdley, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
Susquenita came out on top against Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive 11-run sixth inning. The Blackhawks' pitchers stepped up to hand the WolfPack an 18-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Blackhawks, who have now won ten matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.
Like Upper Dauphin Area, Susquenita also got a great game from a two-way player: Ryan Schoppy. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Schoppy was also big at the plate, firing off two home runs, four runs, and four RBI while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. Those home runs marked the first that he has launched this season.
In other batting news, Billy Syster was incredible, going 3-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season. Justin Reidlinger was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Susquenita kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive contests.
Susquenita has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Upper Dauphin Area, their record is now 8-9.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Upper Dauphin Area has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Susquenita struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 11 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
