The Hawkins Hawks had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Lincoln by a score of 66-54 on Saturday. The win was just what Hawkins needed coming off of a 69-39 defeat in their prior matchup.
Hawkins' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from De'Meiko Crawford, who scored 22 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Crawford has scored at least 25% of Hawkins' points. Robert Stewart was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
Hawkins' victory bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Lincoln, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
Hawkins will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Locke at 4:30 p.m. on January 10th. As for Lincoln, they will be playing at home against Wilson at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
