The Greenwood Christian Hawks fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They were the clear victor by a 41-16 margin over Spartanburg Christian Academy. The result was nothing new for Greenwood Christian, who have now won three contests by 23 points or more so far this season.
Isaiah Scott-Palacios had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 205 yards and four touchdowns on only eight carries. Scott-Palacios' longest rush was for an incredible 75 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Whittington, who picked up 100 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Spartanburg Christian Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Asante Jenkins, who rushed for 135 yards and a touchdown. Noah Caffell also helped out as he racked up 145 rushing yards.
Greenwood Christian has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 4-5 record this season. As for Spartanburg Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.
Greenwood Christian will head out on the road to face off against Orangeburg Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (Orangeburg Prep is ranked 187th, while Greenwood Christian is ranked 197th). As for Spartanburg Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Northside Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
