The St. Edward's Pirates will venture away from home to  take on the Faith Christian Lions  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. St. Edward's is coming into the  game hot, having won their last six games.
 Last Friday, St. Edward's was able to grind out a solid  victory over Boca Raton Christian, taking the game  36-27. With that  win, the Pirates brought their scoring average up to 26.1  points per game.
 St. Edward's relied on the efforts of   Nate Sparkman, who threw for 236 yards and four touchdowns, and   Jaden Jackson, who gained 171 total yards and a touchdown. What's more,  Jackson also racked up 131  rushing yards, the mosthe's  had since back in November of 2023.
 St. Edward's didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Amare McCoy and  Wyatt Burdick.
 Meanwhile, Faith Christian entered their tilt with Seven Rivers Christian on Friday with two consecutive wins  but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Warriors 44-8 at home. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won four contests by 22  points or more  so far this season.
 Faith Christian found their leader in underclassman  Jordan Dejesus, who rushed for 61 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 40 receiving yards.  Bernie Capote/Cubillas was in the mix  as well, providing Faith Christian with two touchdowns.
 St. Edward's victory was  their fourth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 6-1. As for Faith Christian, they now  have a winning record of 4-3.
 St. Edward's strolled past Faith Christian when the teams last played  back in October of 2023 by a score of  37-21. The rematch might be a little tougher for St. Edward's since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
