After a string of six wins, The Habersham School Patriots's good fortune finally ran out  on Thursday. They were just a bucket shy of victory  and fell  45-44 to David Emanuel Academy. The Habersham School was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as David Emanuel Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in December of 2023.
 Several Patriots players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Anna Livingood, who  scored 13 points. Livingood's trending in the right direction, as she's improved his point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of  Camryn Hampton, who  scored eight points along with seven  rebounds and three  steals.
 The Habersham School's loss  ended a three-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 12-9. As for David Emanuel Academy, their win bumped their record up to 3-7.
 The Habersham School will head out on the road to  square off against  Islands at 1:00  p.m.  on Saturday. Islands is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. David Emanuel Academy won't have much time to rest: their next  game is against Monsignor Donovan Catholic at 5:30  p.m.  on January 26th. Monsignor Donovan Catholic is hoping to put an end to  a three-game streak of away losses.
