The Lincoln North Star Navigators and the Fremont Tigers will round out the year against one another at at 3:45 p.m. on Saturday. Lincoln North Star is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
Lincoln North Star will bounce into Saturday's contest after beating Millard North, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Lincoln North Star had just enough and edged Millard North out 48-45. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Navigators have posted against the Mustangs since January 17, 2015.

Jordan Castor and Jakeyce Fowler were among the main playmakers for Lincoln North Star as the former went 9 of 15 on his way to 19 points along with eight boards and five assists and the latter went 6 of 9 en route to 17 points. Castor is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. William Schafer was another key player, putting up three points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Fremont, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They managed a 56-51 victory over Omaha South on Friday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Tigers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Lincoln North Star better keep an eye on Maurice Bryant. He was instrumental in Fremont's win, going 6 of 15 on his way to 21 points and six rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Bryant has scored at least a third of Fremont's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Levi Toben, who posted 13 points.
They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Fremont was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive games.
Fremont now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Lincoln North Star, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Lincoln North Star has crashing the boards this season, having averaged 33.2 boards per game. However, it's not like Fremont struggles in that department as they've been averaging 27 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Lincoln North Star and Fremont were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in January, but Lincoln North Star came up empty-handed after a 58-57 loss. Can Lincoln North Star avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
